With 2019 just around the corner, the 31 December deadline for all Swift users to re-attest and comply with the Customer Security Programme’s (CSP) mandatory security controls is fast approaching.
Completing the KYC Security Attestation (KYC-SA) process contributes substantially to the security of the global Swift community, and helps individual users ensure that counterparties are comfortable doing business with them from a cyber risk-management perspective.
The KYC-SA tool is a straightforward internet-based application, requiring no additional hardware or software. Further information can be found here.
Institutions failing to meet the deadline for re-attestation and compliance will be reported by Swift to their respective local supervisors.
