An 11-character BIC (optional element attached to 8-character BIC) that comprises the following components: party prefix, country code, party suffix, and branch identifier.

An organisation may register several 8-character BICs, the additional BIC(s) is always linked to the primary BIC. The additional BIC may be connected to the Swift network or not and may be published or not published.
