For each of our EMEA events, Swift sponsors a cause within the framework of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. For the Swift Business Forum 2015 in Warsaw, we are proud to support SOS Children’s Village of Siedlce.
SOS Children's Villages International is a global federation of 116 national associations, including SOS Children’s Village of Siedlce.
Swift’s 5.000€ donation will support the SOS Children’s Village of Siedlce, which provides a stable and loving home for children who have lost the care of their parents. The children are fully integrated into the community as they attend the local schools, after-school activities in the neighbourhood, and other activities organised in the village.
SOS Children's Villages Family Strengthening Programmes help by providing material support, childcare, education, and counseling - whatever is needed so that families can care for their children and become self-sufficient. In this way, families are able to stay together.
Additionally, SOS Children’s Villages emergency response teams help children at risk in emergency situations around the world, including armed conflicts or natural disasters.
SOS Children’s Villages stands up for children and helps to inform communities and decision makers about children's rights. Children are encouraged to actively take part in the decision-making processes that affect their lives.
As the children grow older and are ready to leave their SOS families, they can move into the SOS Youth Programme. While they undergo training or attend further education, these young people are guided on their path to an independent life as they learn to shoulder responsibility and make their own decisions.
