Securities Market Infrastructures (SMIs) in Asia-Pacific have been experiencing an inordinate amount of change in the last decade with post-trade system refreshes, new technologies, focus on operational risk and costs and more sophisticated investor requirements. As a result, new types of services and products and new partnerships offering different types of investment opportunities have arisen.
