Swift Personal Data Protection Policy

The Personal Data Protection Policy sets out the roles and responsibilities of Swift and its users with regard to the processing of personal data in the context of the Swift Transaction Processing Services.

Swift Transaction Processing Services refer to the following services:

  • Swift messaging services include, without limitation, the following Swift services: the FIN, SwiftNet and FINPlus messaging services and associated SwiftNet PKI (public key infrastructure) service, which enable Swift users to send and receive financial messages or files, the Swift solutions for CREST and for ESMIG services.
  • GPI transaction referencing services, which enable Swift users to track their financial transactions, as set out in detail in the Swift GPI Service Description and related documentation 
  • Transaction Manager, which enables Swift users to manage their financial transactions, as set out in detail in the Transaction Manager Service Description;
  • Swift Securities View, which enable Swift users to track their securities transactions, as set out in detail in the Swift Securities View Service Description; and
  • Payment Pre-validation services, which enable Swift users to pre-validate their financial transactions, as set out in detail in the Payment Pre-validation Service Description and the Payment Pre-validation Privacy Policy.

This list may be amended from time to time, as Swift may add more services to its Transaction Processing Services in compliance with the Swift governance framework.

Swift Data Retrieval Policy

The Data Retrieval Policy sets out Swift’s policy and commitments on the retrieval, use, and disclosure of traffic and message data. It is intended for customers that use or consider using Swift messaging services and want to understand those specific terms and conditions that govern the retrieval, use, and disclosure of transaction data by Swift, whether at Swift's own initiative or upon the request of customers or third parties.

Swift Payment Pre-validation Privacy Policy

The Payment Pre-validation Privacy Policy sets out the roles and responsibilities of Swift, Payment Pre-validation customers and aggregators in relation to the processing of personal data in the context of Payment Pre-validation.

KYC Registry Privacy Policy

The KYC Registry Privacy Policy sets out the roles and responsibilities of SWIFT and its customers with regard to the collection and processing of personal data in the context of the SWIFT KYC Registry service (KYC Registry).

3Skey Privacy Policy 

The 3Skey Privacy Policy sets out the roles and responsibilities of Swift and its customers with regard to the processing of personal data in the context of Swift Secure Signature Key services, including the 3SKey digital keys and their functionalities (the “3SKey Service”).

Swift Domestic Australia Privacy Policy 

The Swift Domestic Australia Privacy Policy sets out the roles and responsibilities of Swift and Participants with regard to the processing of personal data that either Swift collects for its own purposes or that Participants collect as part of their use of the Swift’s Solution for New Payment Platform Australia (NPPA).
